A well-landscaped home is a joy, but it can be a great deal of work.
"Landscaping" is a broad term which includes design, installation, and maintenance of all phases of planting, irrigation, lighting, pavers, fences, walls, ponds, etc.
Those who specialize in maintenance will mow, trim, edge, blow off your driveway and roof, and clean your gutters when necessary. Some plant and weed your flower beds, apply mulch and even chemicals.
Some people want to have a design created, but then want to do the installation and maintenance themselves. Some would rather create the design and have someone else handle the installation and maintenance. Some only want the maintenance work performed on a periodic basis.
Whatever your needs and desires, getting help is always beneficial and the results add to your quality of life and to the value of your home.
You can hire a landscaping company, get ideas from a home supply company, or you can call from one of those flyers you get in your mailbox from time to time.
Whatever you do, ask a lot of questions. Get referrals from neighbors. It is best to feel "comfortable" with your landscaper. If the one you choose isn't dependable, fire them and try a new one.
